We’re looking forward to an exciting visit this spring from Mother General María del Monte Auxiliadora. She is the Superior General for all of the Little Sisters of the Poor worldwide and she resides at the Motherhouse in France.
It has been more than 50 years since a Superior General came to the Kansas City home, so we want to make her visit special.
Our Residents share in our excitement! When they heard that Mother General is a native of Spain, several Residents asked Activities Director, Gaby, if they could learn some Spanish so they would be able to talk to her. Gaby was happy to teach them, and so a weekly class called, “Spanish Anyone?” was born.
The Residents are having a great time learning basic phrases and pronunciation. They can’t wait to welcome them with a lively “Beinvenidas!” when Mother General and her assistant arrive.
