Kitchen Klub

By March 12, 2026No Comments

After years of running a home and feeding a family, many people miss it when they get older, especially cooking for a large group. After the kids grow up and move away from home and spouses pass away, it can be hard to cook for just one.

While our Residents appreciate the delicious meals they are served here, many miss the little things they once took for granted, like peeling and cutting up vegetables and fruit for meals.

That’s why the Kitchen Klub was formed. It’s a group of Residents who get together each week and peel carrots, snap green beans, core apples for pies, or whatever is needed at the time. We are lucky to have fresh produce donated to our home, so the kitchen can always use help preparing it.

The Kitchen Klub is a welcoming group that fills their meeting area with laughter and easy conversation. It’s wonderful to see the Residents so happy to be contributing and helping others. We are always touched by their caring hearts!
